Podcasts have the power to change lives. They can be a powerful tool we can all use to find a missing piece along our journey, make connections that have elluded us, and bring people together who are on similar paths. They can be the nudge that finally pushes us into action.
April and Jason started the East2WestWLS because they were looking for that support, that connection, that community and could not find it. They believed they had the power to create what they needed, and they took a chance on the belief that as they supported eachother, they could support others. Kellie and Mel had the same desire to support our greater bariatric community and launched Our Sleeved Life Podcast, which has grown to be one of the most successful bariatric podcasts.
Our podcasts have grown up together, and we have grown with each other. Our friendships have deepened as our commitment to support our community has, too. In this episode, you will hear how each of our podcasts came to be, how our journeys collided to create something magical, and how we have each naviagated our bariatric journies with the support of one another.
A massive shout-out to our friends Kellie and Mel for making this amazing podcast happen! Follow their podcast on Instagram @oursleevedlifepodcast, follow Kellie @sleevedfromtheashes and Mel @melgottfried
