Please Please Me is the second single in the UK, the song was included in the Beatles debut album Please Please Me released on March 22,  1963. John Lennon wrote the song when he lived in Mendips, in his bedroom at Aunt Mimi's house. At the end of the final recording, George Martin said: Please Please Me was sure to be a hit. The Beatles performed the song on Saturday 19 January 1963 on the Saturday night television show Thank Your Lucky Stars, the Beatles' first UK television appearance. P.S. I Love You is a song composed by Paul McCartney in 1962 during the period of the Beatles in Hamburg. Paul McCartney denies having composed the song for his Liverpool girlfriend Dorothy known as Dot Rhone with which he had a 3 year engagement from 1959 to july 1962. Cynthia Powell and Dorothy Rhone followed John and Paul to Hamburg when the Beatles went to play at Top Ten from 1 April to 1 July 1961.
