15x Emmy Award winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns joins Jim and Shelli to discuss his latest masterwork: 'Country Music.' The series follows the evolution of country music over the course of the 20th century and chronicles trailblazers like the Carter Family all the way to Garth Brooks. Eight years in the making, 'Country Music' features never before seen footage, images and revealing interviews from dozens of country icons like Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Kris Kristofferson, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris, Charlie Daniels and Willie Nelson. Burns' passion for his subjects always comes through in his work, and we find out that Jim and Ken have a particular hometown connection that influenced his love of music. Fans of any genre will want to experience this truly American story. The first episodes of 'Country Music' debut this Sunday (9/15) at 8pm on PBS.
