Episode 14: The Myth of Fearlessness
Fearlessness is a buzz word in the personal development world. Many preach about the utility of approaching obstacles from a place of "fearlessness", which in the end doesn't actually help create long term shifts in their relationship with fear, and how effectively they are able to move out of being in fear, and into action taking.
I talk about why this approach doesn't actually help you to take consistent action outside of your comfort zone, and how it actually reinforces disconnection and fragmentation within yourself. I also dive deep into what actually DOES work when it comes to overcoming fear, and why it's not so much a matter of overcoming, but learning how to walk with fear.
In this episode we dive into:
-why fearlessness is a short term bandaid and how it perpetuates the cultural narrative of invalidation as it relates to our emotions
-what the long term solution is for effectively interacting with your fear in a way where it doesn't get in the way
-how our relationship with fear is individual to us and is effected by not just our individual experiences, but social and cultural components that impact how we approach working with it.
-the relationship between fear and our bodies and why this is such a crucial element in changing your relationship with fear
-how to build safety and trust in yourself and why this is SO important when you're working on taking fear out of the drivers seat in your life and business
And SO MUCH MORE!
