Lorraine lives in Buckinghamshire, England. Lorraine paints from memories and intuition, and for the pure joy of it! Each painting is a voyage of discovery, revealing it's story to you, layer by layer. Lorraine takes inspiration from treasured memories, all things vintage and anything that sparks joy. Lorraine loves the spontaneity of acrylic paint and enjoys adding texture with ephemera, crayon and line-work. Lorraine builds up history with each layer and uses glazes or cold wax for depth. Lorraine loves freedom of expression and her mantra is ‘don’t think, just paint’. She works intuitively, responding to each mark. Her work weaves in the unexpected moments of joy that life brings and is created with the desire to bring the viewer joy. Lorraine also hosts abstract acrylic workshops and is a co-founder of the Global Artelier 21, a collective of nine women artists who met during CVP 2021
